Kathryn Coulson

Chief Operating Officer

Kate is your friendly neighborhood mental health professional and advocate working to break the stigmas and societal views around mental health and fierce advocate for women and children. Receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminology was just the start to her journey of advocating for those that do not have the opportunity to be fully seen. Kate started her career as an intern with Northern Kentucky Youth Development Center working with incarcerated juvenilles. She engaged with clients, completed evaluations, and facilitated group sessions to create positive outcomes and rehabilitate.

She continued to grow in her career and transferred into case management where she had the ability to see gaps in resources for clients of all ages with severe mental illness. Joining Red Tent in 2021, Kate has made it her mission to continue reducing recidivism and being an advocate for those that do not have a voice and want to be seen. Her passions are prevalent in the relationships she continues to build in the surrounding communities and in the Red Tent programs.

In her free time, you can find Kate tending to her plants, reading a good poetry or thriller book, or diving into true crime. If you have the chance to meet Kate, you will be met with intellectual and authentic conversations. We are incredibly lucky to have her on our team!
