Cecilia Nugent has spent her career serving underrepresented and at-risk populations. In June 2023 she joined RTWI and says the Red Tent values of Integrity, Stewardship, Inclusion, Respect, and Innovation ‘align with my passion and background.’

She is an accomplished Executive Director with over 15 years of experience at CONNTAC, Inc. (Connecticut Talent Assistance Cooperative) managing the fiscal and business operations of the statewide educational access, college placement, and social service non-profit. She is a certified and registered 500-hr Yoga Teacher having worked with a variety of populations to include those experiencing life changes and challenges.

She received her Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a University of Connecticut graduate where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Government and Journalism.

As a mother of two adult sons, military spouse, and yoga champion she embraces Muhammad Ali’s saying that service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. “I work to do my part and thank Red Tent for the opportunity to serve,” she says.
